- Accompany an experienced outreach worker in taking the service to the street population in Lambeth.
- Engage and build rapport with the entrenched street substance users.
- Support service users into support and treatment centres.
- Refer service users to relevant internal services and external agencies.
- Making or receiving phone calls on shift.
- Assist with taking notes during the shift.
- Provide a professional and effective service to clients in line with Thames Reach policies and values
In this role, you'll be able to make a direct difference to the lives of those experiencing homelessness. You'll be part of our frontline team, helping the Street Engagement Team to protect individuals and communities from the harms caused by drug and alcohol misuse. This volunteer role allows us to deliver these crucial shifts so that people who are struggling with substance abuse can be supported to access services and support.

- Motivation to support disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
- Awareness and understanding of the need for professional boundaries and confidentiality.
