At Newington Green and Market Road Garden we'll be weeding, pruning, raking leaves, creating a loggery and a bee bank......... and generally enjoying being active outside.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a local community group , share and learn new skills, improve both the appearance and the biodiversity of our local parks and green spaces and discover the opportunities that small local chaities provide.
As well as the above there may be opportunities for you to be involved in our evaluaion of the programme .

This is a series of six sessions where we'll create areas of native planting and habitat and work with the Orchard Project planting fruit trees.
The sessions are free, but we encourage people to book a place using the QR code on the poster.

You'll love being outside in the brisk autumn air , getting to know our regulars, seeing the changes that happen throughout the session and playing a part in green our parks and increasing biodiversity and habitiat.
You'll learn lots - you'll get to know local parks and people, you'll experience the changes that take place through the seasons, you'll learn new gardening and conservation skills and hae the opportunity to be involved in the evaluationof the programme.
We're looking for people who want to spend time outdoors in nature.

Visit a person at home and befriend them, offering communication support, and a fresh perspective from their daily routine. The person you visit will have aphasia, a communication disability, often stuck at home without support.
